How I feel about the presidency

From the early civilization of the U.S. as a country we have had problems on how to choose our government, our president, and what should we stand for against other nations. But today, January 20, 2009 a new change has occurred. Today our first African American president will be in office for a full term. During the election, many American whites and blacks alike have threatened the death of Barack Obama. Other candidates of the election dug hard to find everything on him to keep him from becoming president! So much racism has occurred ever since the United States have known that an African American was running for president. But as an American Citizen I am glad to see this day cause this is our history and happy to say that our president is an African American not just because I am too or any other racist idea but just because he believed in what he wanted and that's making the United States better economic wise and to be one country united. Obama is a great role model and I do follow him for my own personal dreams and goals just because he made it to what he wanted to be! But for all those people who do not believe in him, Obama is the best and he will make the United States better to live in. And those who still don't believe and wants to hurt him in any way like Obama stated during the candidacy "Everybody can say and do everything to harm a person but can't say one good thing about themselves!"
